A check engine light can mean anything from a loose gas cap to a failing catalytic converter. The computer also monitors body control, transmission, ABS brakes, and emissions; it is complex. An inexpensive code reader tells you what circuit complained; it doesn't tell you why. Our licensed technicians use professional diagnostic equipment and over 20 years of experience to find the actual cause, so you pay to fix the problem once, not to replace parts on a guess.
We diagnose and repair all drivability issues: rough idle, stalling, misfires, poor fuel economy, hard starts, and no-starts, on all makes and models.
Bring it in if you notice
- Check engine light on, or flashing (flashing means stop driving)
- Rough idle, misfire, or hesitation under acceleration
- Noticeably worse fuel economy
- Hard starting, stalling, or no-start
- Unusual noises, smoke, or smells from the engine
Our diagnostic services
- Full computer diagnostic scans on all modules
- Live-data testing, not just code pulling
- Electrical and sensor diagnosis
- Fuel system, ignition, and emissions repairs
- Cooling system diagnosis and repair
- Written estimate and your approval before any repair
Engine Diagnostics questions, answered
My check engine light is on but the car runs fine. Can I ignore it?
Not for long. Some faults quietly damage expensive components like the catalytic converter or cause poor fuel economy. A steady light means book a diagnosis soon; a flashing light means stop driving and call us.
Why should I pay for a diagnosis when parts stores read codes free?
A code identifies the symptom, not the cause. An oxygen sensor code, for example, is often caused by a vacuum leak or fuel issue, not the sensor. Proper testing means you fix it once instead of buying parts that don't solve it.
Do you work on all makes?
Yes. Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles, gas and diesel. Our NAPA AutoCare affiliation gives us access to current service information and parts for virtually everything on the road.
