An oil change at Barrie AutoCare Centre is more than a drain and fill. Every oil change includes a visual inspection by a licensed technician, so small problems get caught before they become breakdowns.
We service all makes and models with the correct oil grade and filter for your vehicle, and we follow your manufacturer's maintenance schedule, which keeps your warranty intact. You don't need the dealership to protect a new-car warranty; you need documented service done right.
Why regular oil changes matter
- Engine oil breaks down faster in cold Barrie winters and short trips
- Dirty oil accelerates wear on bearings, camshafts, and turbos
- Skipped changes cause sludge that leads to expensive engine repairs
- Low oil from slow leaks is the top cause of preventable engine failure
Every oil change includes
- Premium oil and NAPA filter matched to your vehicle
- Visual inspection of brakes, tires, fluids, and suspension
- Fluid top-ups and battery test
- Maintenance recommendations based on your actual driving
- Digital service records for warranty protection
Oil Changes questions, answered
How often should I change my oil?
Most modern vehicles are fine at 8,000 to 12,000 km with synthetic oil, but short winter trips around Barrie count as severe service. We'll set an interval that matches how you actually drive.
Do I have to go to the dealer to keep my warranty?
No. In Canada, any licensed shop can perform scheduled maintenance without affecting your manufacturer warranty, as long as it's documented. We keep full digital records for you.
Synthetic or conventional oil?
Most newer engines require synthetic, and it performs far better in cold starts at -20. We'll recommend what your manufacturer specifies, not the most expensive option on the shelf.
